We are very fortunate to have an active Parents’ Group at Castlecroft. The Group runs a programme of social and fundraising events throughout the year. They meet at various times on a variety of days, this information is shared with parents on the outside notice board and by using the schools text facility. They are always keen to welcome new members! The aim of the group is to help the school in practical ways. A full calendar of social, educational and fund raising events is arranged. All parents are invited to attend its functions. Their main aim is to raise funds to purchase equipment and materials which will enhance the learning experience and environment of our pupils.

Previous successful projects include the purchase of books for our school library, playground equipment for our Playgrounds, Christmas presents for all our children, a cooker and play equipment for the Nursery, digital cameras for all classes, a DVD and video recorder to be used with our Interactive whiteboards, resourcing of a new Reception class outdoor play environment and support for our Sensory Garden. In recent years they have subsidised our school visits for all years ensuring that we have been able to continue with our extensive programme of visits despite the great increase in costs, particularly those of coach travel. In addition, each year, they pay for the two theatre visits by professional companies.
