Castlecroft v Woodthorne

On Thursday 19th January our girls’ football team travelled to Woodthorne Primary School to play our first match of the season. We were a little nervous but mainly excited. We started off strong with Mia scoring the first goal of the match, then Woodthorne came back with an equaliser.
The second half started off intense with a score of 1-1 but unfortunately Woodthorne scored more goals. We were disappointed with a 5-1 defeat but we still shook hands with the other team.
We enjoyed playing the match and will try to work better as a team next time which will hopefully give us a win.
