Castlecroft v Claregate

On a very cold day, Monday 23rd January, Castlecroft boys’ football team played a home match against Claregate Primary School.
The game kicked off with Castlecroft having a couple of decent chances but within 5 minutes of the game beginning Claregate scored the first goal. Then within the next 15 minutes Toby had scored a hat-trick, putting us in the lead.
The half time whistle blew giving us time to have a team talk from Mr Morgan and substitutions were made.
The second half started with Claregate scoring 2 goals quite quickly. Then Stanley scored another goal for us making it 4-3 to Claregate. Just before the full time whistle we scored another goal making the final score 4-4.
It was an entertaining match as we found Claregate a very challenging team to play.
Overall, it was a brilliant match and we were all happy with our performances.
